Summer Essentials!

Hello everyone, as summer is upon us ( I say looking up at a dark grey sky, typical British weather!) I thought I would share  some of my summer essentials! These products are just some of the things I use more often in the warmer months.
Nivea Tinted Moisturizing Day Cream. £3.99
I am new to tinted moisturizers but i wanted to try one out seeming it is getting warmer and i wanted a light base for when i go on holiday in august. I saw this one in Sainsburys on a weekly shop and thought i would give it a go seeming it was only £3.99! I am very impressed with this product I didn't expect to like this product as much as i do, its a a light coverage but it still smooths over the skin and blurs out imperfections. I have the shade natural at it matches my skin perfectly i don't know if it comes in other shades because this will probably be to dark for really pale skin tones. It has SPF 8 which isn't the highest SPF but I don't mind that. It says its for all skin types and i don't find this to oily or dying. it does give a natural glow because it contains light-reflecting pigments. This is definitely worth a go especially because its only £3.99.
Benefit the Porefessional. - Original size 22ml- £24.50
This primer is great for summer especially if you have oily skin. I use this in the summer because that is when my skin become slightly oily and this primer controls it pretty well and i don't have to powder as much.  As well as controlling oil it also smoother over your skin and makes your pores look like there almost gone. This has never broke me out either, usually with pore minimizing products i get a break out but with this i haven't.  If you are looking to invest in a good primer for summer i would recommend that this one is a good place to start.
Mac- Crosswires £1

Maybelline - Neon Red 916 £7.19
Elf -No Name £3.95     MUA-Nectar shade 16 £1

A summer look would not be complete without a bright lipstick. I thought i would show you my favorite eye catching pink, red and orange. The pink is a Mac lipstick in the shade Crosswires, it is a very warm toned bright pink that is very eye catching and goes wither every outfit and look. i esspecially think that this would be great if your were still new to wearing bright lipstick.

The red is a Maybelline lipstick in the shade Neon red and it defiantly lives up to its name it is a very bright red shade that has a slight orange undertone. I wear this toned down slightly by blending it in to my lips so it isn't as intense but if you like a bold lip you will love this.

Last for the lipstick is the oranges, I have one from ELF and another from MUA these are both very affordable brands and i love both these lipsticks. i wear both of these lipsticks together because i find the ELF one a bit to drying by its self but the MUA one ( which is only £1) feels very moisturizing so i like to mix them ever though they are very similar in colour. But an orange lipstick is a great summer staple!

Benefit Hoola Bronzer -£23.50
A bronzer is a staple in a summer look. This is Benefits Hoola Bronzer and it is one of my favorites bronzers, it is great for contouring and bronzing up the whole face. It gives a natural glow and definition to the face and is not orange at all! I think this will also work for very pale skin tones because it's a very natural bronzer and not orange. This is great for summer and all year round for that matter.

These are just a few of my beauty summer essentials, I will be doing a summer skin care post that will be up in a few day where i share how i look after my skin in the sun. I hope you liked this post and any comments and feedback are really appreciated.
Thank you for reading! x

  6. Cool post! I also tried the Nivea day cream and don't like it very much! It leaves some stripes and is too dark for people with pale skin! Beside that I love the Maybelline lipsticks, they are so pigmented!
