As it is summer I want to wear a lighter base instead of a heavy foundation! So I looked in to BB and CC creams. I was never knew what the difference was so I had to do some research. So in this post I will be reviewing them side by side to find the winner of BB VS CC. I will also be sharing some facts about the products and what the difference is between the two!
Seventeen CC Cream- £6.99
Description
A CC ream stands for cover & corrects which means it helps to cover redness in the skin or and discoloration. A CC cream doesn't give a full coverage like a foundation but it does give a bit of coverage and creates an even complexion.
Product facts
This CC Cream is from the brand Seventeen which you can get in Boots. It retail for £6.99 which i think is pretty good for a base product. It also has an SPF 25 which is great for the summer as I will be wearing it as a summer base. There is also Vitamin E in there to make sure your skin stays moisturized. This product only comes in two shade which is a shame.
My Opinion
Lets start with me saying that I really like this product it does even out the redness on my face and it does cover everything that I want it to without it feeling heavy. It says that is a matte radiance finish, I agree with the radiance claim it does look very glowy and radiant but it is definitely not a super matte product. This could be because my skin is more oily now but I do have to powder. I think that it would stay matte on people with dry skin.
But the main problem with this product is the colour range they only have the shades Light and Medium. I have the shade light and it is still a bit to dark with me so i have to blend it in a LOT. I have a slight tan not so i can work with it but if you have really pale skin this might not work for you! Also this is more grey toned. The lasting power on this is pretty good i would say it last for about 5 hours without need a touch up. I apply it with the real techniques sponge and i find that this gives it a much more natural look and the best coverage.

Rimmel BB Cream 9-in-1
Rimmel BB Cream 9-in-1
Description
BB creams were original from Korea and were a big craze in 2012. BB stands for beauty balm or blemish balm which makes it the all singing all dancing product. It supposedly does everything you need. It has skin benefits like SPF and moisturizer. You can wear it as a base for make up or by its self.
Product Facts
This product is from Rimmel and it retails for £6.99 the same as the Seventeen one. It is a "9-in-1 skin perfecting super make up" It also has SPF 25 also the same as the Seventeen CC cream. It claims to prime, moisturises, minimizes pores, conceals, covers, smooths, mattifies, brighten and helps protect which is a lot of claims.
My Opinion
For the BB cream I tried the Rimmel 9-in-1 BB cream, I wanted to try this as i have seen a lot of mixed reviews on it and I wanted to try it for myself. This product has a lot of claims and i am slight disappointed by this products. This BB creams says it helps to minimize the look of pores but it makes my pore look more noticeable which isn't the look i am going for. I also done think it conceals in fact it doesn't give much coverage at all compared to the Seventeen CC cream. It also says it Mattifies which it doesn't when I have wore this I look so shiny and oil its crazy. I apply this with the real techniques sponge as i find this gives the best finish, i have tried with my fingers and a brush but it just goes striky.
The thing it does do is brighten (or this could just be because it made me look shiny) and it does have a good SPF 25 in it. Also the colour is a lot better than the Seventeen one, I have the shade light and it is a lot lighter than the CC cream but I still think it might be slightly to dark for really pale skin tones. This product is yellow toned with would be good if you fake tanned. I dont tend to talk bad of products very often but over all i am disappointed with this product as it didn't do anything for me but this might just be on my skin and my opinion you may love it.
The BB cream is on the left and the CC cream is on the right.
Overview
So for the overview I defiantly prefer the Seventeen CC cream as i feel it works better on my skin and gives me more coverage and a more natural look. I am really disappointed that i didn't like the Rimmel one very much as i usually love there products and especially there face products.
Thank you for reading i really appreciate it!

This is an awesome post, I've always wondered what the difference was! I have used the Rimmel BB Cream and love it, although this summer my skin has been so clear that tinted moisturizer has done the trick (thank goodness!)

Really nice post. They both sound okay although the Rimmel once doesn't sound too great. It's a shame because the other rimmel face products like the Wake Me Up are amazing! x
